About the Role

Juwon Babalola Law Firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Abuja team. This role suits an experienced litigator and commercial lawyer ready to take on significant client responsibility across a broad general practice, within a firm with international reach and lawyers licensed across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage litigation matters from filing through trial and appeal, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
Advise clients on corporate and commercial transactions, including structuring, contracts, and compliance
Handle property and real estate matters, including due diligence, title perfection, and transaction documentation
Provide general legal practice support across the firm’s broader client base
Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff on assigned matters
Represent clients before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies as required
Liaise directly with clients to manage expectations and maintain the firm’s standard of service

Qualifications & Experience

LLB and B.L (called to the Nigerian Bar)
Minimum of 6 years post-call experience
Demonstrated experience in litigation, corporate, commercial, and property law
Strong drafting, legal research, and advocacy skills
Sound judgment and the ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
High standard of professionalism, discretion, and client care
